Compliance with the Transparency Act

PANOS EMPORIO takes all obligations seriously, and we are committed to human rights, health, environment, and safety in the workplace. The purpose of the law is to promote businesses' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in the delivery of goods and services, and to ensure public access to information about how businesses handle negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.

The law is based on the OECD guidelines. The guidelines set expectations for businesses in areas such as human rights, workers' rights, environment, taxation, anti-corruption, competition legislation, consumer interests, and transparency. The guidelines expect businesses to conduct due diligence and risk assessments, and further require them to implement measures to preserve the environment, respect human rights, safeguard workers' rights, and avoid corruption/bribery.

We have initiated the mapping of our suppliers with regard to the risk areas covered by the Freedom of Information Act, and we have and will contact suppliers to obtain additional information. This work will be an ongoing process, and any new suppliers will be asked the same questions and requirements to document their compliance with the law. Through this, we will strive to identify potential risks to the best of our ability and work towards reducing or eliminating possible harm.

The board of directors of PANOS EMPORIO has adopted our policy for the Freedom of Information Act and assigned the CEO of PANOS EMPORIO the responsibility for ensuring compliance with it. Based on the policy, PANOS EMPORIO has developed ethical guidelines for suppliers.
